ASPET Emergency Hardship Fund
Award Description
These awards are for ASPET members who either: 1) were employed by the United States Federal government and lost their position after January 20, 2025; or 2) are a current Federal employee affected by a travel freeze. ASPET will provide paid registration and up to $800 in reimbursement for qualifying hotel and transit costs to attend ASPET 2025 in Portland, Oregon. Abstract submission is not required. Qualifying transit and hotel expenses are noted here. This award may be combined with other sources of ASPET support on a case-by-case basis. Please describe your circumstances in the application. For those affected by travel freezes, please verify with your employing agency that you could accept these funds before applying.
Eligibility
- You must have been an ASPET member in at least one of the following years: 2023, 2024, 2025
- You were employed by the United States Federal government and lost your position after January 20, 2025; OR you are a current Federal employee who is affected by a travel freeze
- All member types who meet the above criteria may apply
- Abstract submission for ASPET 2025 is not required
